Guelph woman allegedly caught with stolen property at court house

It is alleged that items in the bags the woman was carrying were linked to six different thefts from vehicle incidents that had been reported in the last two weeks

On Oct. 29, 2019, a female attended to the court house. While at the court house, it is alleged she was observed carrying several bags of property and acting suspiciously. Police attended and spoke to the female about her behaviour and the property. As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old Guelph female was arrested and charged with the following offences:
  • Possess identity documents

  • Possess break and enter instruments

  • Possess stolen property

  • Breaching an Undertaking

  • Two counts of breaching an Order of Recognizance

It is alleged that items in the bags the Guelph woman was carrying were linked to six different thefts from vehicle incidents that had been reported in the last two weeks. Some of the property was returned to the rightful owner.

Guelph Police would like to remind everyone that theft from vehicles can be prevented by locking your doors. If you have a credit/debit card that has the tap function and you don’t use it, please contact your financial institution and request the tap function be disabled.
