A Guelph teenager was taken to hospital with head injuries following a reported assault at a downtown-area party last month.
Police responded to a home in the area of Dublin Street North and Durham Street shortly after midnight on Feb. 4. Investigators determined two males were involved in a verbal altercation during a party, then moved outside where the dispute turned physical.
The 17-year-old Guelph victim was punched several times and lost consciousness, a police news release explains. As a result, he was taken to hospital for treatment of head injuries.
On Tuesday, a 22-year-old Hamilton man turned himself in to police and was arrested for assault causing bodily harm.
