Guelph police release image of car they believe was connected to last Saturday's collision on Woolwich Street that serious injured a teen

Guelph police have released an image of the black BMW they believe was connected to the serious collision last Saturday that seriously injured a 14-year old girl.

Originally described as a two-door vehicle, police now say it is a four-door model and has under-mounted neon lighting and possibly damage to its drivers-side.

Police reported that last Saturday just after 8 p.m. two motor vehicles were driving northbound on Woolwich Street at a high rate of speed. One of the vehicles, a white Cadillac, collided head-on with a southbound Volkswagen and then collided with two parked vehicles. A second southbound vehicle swerved to avoid the collision and struck another parked vehicle.

The second northbound vehicle, believed to be the black BMW pictured above, left the scene.

A 14-year-old passenger in the Volkswagen was seriously injured and is now recovering following surgery in a Hamilton hospital.

Following the collision, the driver of the white Cadillac a 26-year-old Kitchener male, was charged with danger dangerous driving and four counts of possessing a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
