Intoxicated woman becomes belligerent, say police

Fergus LCBO staff won't sell her more alcohol. 60-year-old woman sobers up in custody as a result

TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON - On Thursday March 29, 2018, at approximately 5 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance call at the LCBO store on St David Street North, Fergus. 

It was reported that an intoxicated female became irate and belligerent at staff when they refused to serve her.

OPP attended and arrested the woman for being intoxicated in public. The 60-year-old female, from Fergus, was charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place. She remained in custody until she was sober.
