Guelph police are investigating after someone defaced a statue of the city’s founder, John Galt, with red paint over the weekend.
In a news release, police say a city employee discovered paint had been thrown on the statue, which sits outside the Carden Street courthouse, on Monday morning.
It’s not known at this time if the statue sustained any damage.
An investigation is ongoing.
