A Guelph woman faces an impaired driving charge following a collision in the parking lot of an LCBO store.

Approximately 7:40 p.m. Monday a minor collision occurred in the lot at Wellington Street West and Gordon Street. The involved drivers exchanged information, but one had concerns about the other’s sobriety and called police.

Officers observed the involved vehicle driving nearby, but the driver appeared unaware of efforts to pull her over with emergency equipment activated. Eventually she did pull over and was showing obvious signs of impairment.

After failing a roadside breath test she was arrested and transported to the police station, where further tests confirmed she had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system.

A 67-year-old Guelph woman is charged with impaired driving.
