A Guelph man faces charges after spitting on a woman and police officer in Downtown Guelph Wednesday afternoon.
Just after 1 p.m., officers were called to a reported disturbance in the area of St. George’s Square. Investigation revealed a man yelled at and spat on a woman. As officers attempted to arrest him, he spat in the eyes of one of the officers.
A 69-year-old Guelph man is charged with assault and assault police.
