A Guelph man was arrested Wednesday for twice assaulting staff of a social service agency last month.

The evening of January 17, police were called to a downtown facility. Staff reported a male was asked to leave and responded by lunging at a female employee with clenched fists. He then shoved the same employee against a wall before leaving.

On Wednesday morning the man was located in the area of Royal City Park and arrested. A 54-year-old man is charged with two counts of assault and breaching a probation order.
