Man charged after knife reportedly pulled in road rage incident

A Guelph male faces a weapons charge after pulling a knife on another male following a road rage incident Thursday.

Approximately 9:30 a.m. Thursday, the Guelph police were called to an address on Willow Road near Wimbledon Road. Following a road rage incident, a male followed another motorist in an attempt to record his license plate. There was a brief verbal altercation, after which one of the males went into the residence and allegedly emerged with a 30-centimetre knife which he waved at the other male.

Police arrived and located the male in his driveway.

A 29-year-old Guelph male is charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He will appear in a Guelph court Sept. 28.
