On Oct. 14, 2019, a 27 year old Guelph male was arrested for Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Assault Peace Officer as a result of a domestic arrest that took place on Waterloo Avenue. A conducted energy weapon was deployed on the subject male as a result of the accused being assaultive towards police.
The male was arrested without further incident and transported to the Guelph Police Station where he was held for a bail hearing.
The 31 year old female victim was also arrested in relation to the offence for Cause Disturbance. She was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Nov. 26, 2019.
