Man charged with sexual assault after woman attacked at work

On Dec. 27, 2019 at approximately 7 a.m., a 20-year-old Guelph female was working at a local business on Gordon Street when she was physically attacked by a male not known to her. The victim was able to escape the male and with the assistance of a witness, the police soon after located and arrested the suspect at the corner of Nottingham Street and Dublin Street.

As a result of the incident, a 30-year-old Guelph male was charged with sexual assault, indecent act and two counts of breach probation. He was transported to the Guelph Police Service where he was further held for a bail hearing. The victim was not [physically] injured as a result of the incident.
