Man who fell from vehicle on Highway 7 faces multiple charges

He's accused of being in possession of a number of controlled substances

TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA - May 2, 2017 at approximately 11:40 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the  Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Guelph/Eramosa Fire Department responded to report of a male being injured on Highway 7, west of Guelph.

Multiple witnesses advised that the male had been holding onto the side of an unidentified black Ford Escape SUV with running-boards and roof-rack. The male was injured and was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation revealed that the injured male was in possession of a quantity of illicit drugs. 33-year-old Brian Jonathon Allen of Kitchener has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking schedule 1 - crystal methamphetamine, possession of schedule 1 - cocaine, possession of schedule 2 - cannabis marijuana under 30g, and possession of a schedule 1 - hydromorphone contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

He has also been charged with failing to comply with a recognizance of a justice set out on Mar. 31, 2017 in the City of Stratford.

Police are still looking to identify the driver and the vehicle involved in this incident.
