A Listowel couple face charges following a theft at a Guelph business Monday, report Guelph police.
Approximately 1:45 p.m., staff from a business on Stone Road West reported a woman had left the store with more than $200 in stolen merchandise. Employees followed her through the parking lot until she was seen getting into an SUV driven by a man.
As officers arrived on scene, they observed the SUV being driven erratically through the crowded parking lot and onto Stone Road West, where it was pulled over.
A 33-year-old Listowel woman is charged with theft under $5,000. A 37-year-old Listowel man is charged with stunt driving.
