Minor injuries for pedestrian struck by vehicle

Guelph police report an adult female sustained minor injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle Monday morning.

Approximately 9:05 a.m. the police were called to the intersection of York Road and Victoria Road. Police say a motor vehicle was turning when it collided with the pedestrian, who was thrown onto the hood of the vehicle then fell to the ground. She sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment.

A 69-year-old Rockwood female is charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act.
