A Guelph man has been charged with robbery after a dog was reportedly stolen during a dispute over money.

Guelph police say that in August they were called to an address on York Road. The homeowner reported a man known to him had kicked the door open and entered the unit before pushing the victim and causing him to fall down. The man then called out to the owner’s dog, picked it up and left.

On Tuesday a 28-year-old Guelph man was arrested for break and enter and robbery.
