Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following Paisley Street collision

The Guelph Police Service is asking for witnesses to a serious downtown collision on Tuesday to contact investigators.

The collision between a motorcycle and SUV occurred at about 5 p.m. Tuesday at Paisley Street and Glasgow Street North.

A 38-year-old man who was riding the motorcycle was sent to trauma centre in London by Ornge ambulance with serious injuries. The helicopter was seen Tuesday at Royal City Park near Edinburgh Road and Wellington Street prior to take off.

A 45-year-old woman in the SUV was treated locally with minor injuries.

The collision is still under investigation.
