Novice driver charged with blood alcohol above zero

On Feb. 1, 2020, at approximately 1:05 a.m., members from the Guelph Police Service observed a vehicle leaving an establishment in the North end of Guelph. Police followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the Hanlon Expy.

Police spoke with the driver and a roadside screening test was administered to the driver in which they failed.

As a result of the investigation, the 30-year-old Guelph female was charged with Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand and Novice Driver B.A.C. Above Zero. The female was also issued a 90-day driver’s licence suspension.

The 30-year-old female was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Feb. 14, 2020.
