A man and woman from Waterloo Region face several charges after police recovered a stolen pickup and camper trailer in Guelph Friday morning.

Approximately 9:20 a.m., a Guelph police officer on routine patrol observed a Dodge Ram pickup attached to a Gulf Stream travel trailer behind a Woodlawn Road East business. Investigation revealed both had been stolen in separate incidents.

The male driver and female passenger were arrested. A search incident to arrest revealed dozens of pieces of mail, two cheques and a prescription bottle containing 73 amphetamine tablets, all in other peoples’ names.

A 28-year-old Waterloo man and 25-year-old Kitchener woman are each charged with two counts of possessing stolen property over $5,000, three counts of possessing stolen property under $5,000 and possessing a controlled substance. Both were ordered to return to a Guelph court April 12, 2022, and were turned over to other police services to deal with outstanding warrants.
