TOWN OF MINTO - On July 17, 2019 the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a sexual assault that occurred at a Palmerston residence in June, 2019.
Following a thorough investigation by the Wellington County OPP Major Crime Unit, Evan Leslie Thomas Brumwell, 33 years old of Palmerston was arrested and charged with sexual assault contrary to the Criminal Code on Aug. 1, 2019.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on Sept. 3, 2019 to answer to the charge.
