Parking spot dispute leads to warning for Guelph woman

Police say one of the people involved later made a false statement about smelling alcohol on the other party's breath

A Guelph female was warned for making a false report to police following a dispute Wednesday over a parking spot.

Shortly after noon, police report they were called to Gordon Street near Wellington Street West. A caller reported being in a dispute with another driver, and claimed to the dispatcher she could smell alcohol on the other driver’s breath.

An officer attended and determined that claim to be false. A 25-year-old Guelph female was warned about making false statements.
