On Feb. 9, 2020 at 2:35 a.m., a pedestrian flagged down a member of the Guelph Police Service near the intersection of College Avenue West and Edinburgh Road South in the City of Guelph and reported a possible impaired driver.
At 2:47 a.m., police located the vehicle a short distance away and arrested the adult male driver.
A 19-year-old Ayr male has been charged with:
• Operation while impaired – alcohol
• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration
He will appear in court on Feb. 25.
On Feb. 8, 2020 at 9:04 p.m., a member of the public notified the Guelph Police Service of a possible adult male impaired driver in the area of Paisley Road and Imperial Road South in the City of Guelph.
A short time later police found the male at his residence located near the intersection of Elmira Road North and Speedvale Avenue West. At 9:31 p.m., the male failed an approved screening device roadside breath test and was arrested.
A 35-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
• Operation while impaired – alcohol
• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration
• Operation while prohibited
He will appear in court on March 20.
On Feb. 8, 2020 at 9:38 p.m., Guelph Paramedics notified the Guelph Police Service of a possible impaired driver in the area of York Road and Stevenson Street South in the City of Guelph.
At 9:46 p.m., police found the vehicle in a commercial parking lot located near the intersection of Victoria Road South and York Road. Police spoke with the adult male driver and at 9:52 p.m., he failed an approved screening device roadside breath test. He was subsequently arrested.
A 63-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with:
• Operation while impaired – alcohol
• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration
• Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
He will appear in court on Feb. 25.
