TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA - On Dec. 23, 2019 at approximately 1 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Woolwich-Guelph Town Line and Lerch Road west of the City of Guelph. A passerby had spotted what appeared to be a damaged vehicle well off the road lodged in a wooded area.
OPP responded and upon examining the scene observed a single deceased occupant in the severely damaged Ford pickup truck.
Investigators are attempting to identify the individual, as well as the cause of the collision. The roadway will remain closed until OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) have completed processing the scene.
