Plow clips hydro pole, which then falls on bus

No injuries in incident that happened just after midnight Tuesday on College Avenue

Guelph police report there were no injuries reported after a hydro pole fell on a city bus early Tuesday morning.

Approximately 12:10 a.m., a street plow clipped a hydro pole on Gordon Street just north of College Avenue. The impact sheared the pole at its base and caused the pole to fall onto a Guelph Transit bus which was driving behind the plow.

There were three passengers on the bus but no injuries reported in the collision, which caused an estimated $13,000 in damage.
