On the morning of Aug. 1, 2019, police received information about a break and enter in progress at a closed business in the south end of the city. Multiple officers quickly attended the scene and located two females inside the business, who were subsequently arrested. A search incident to arrest revealed one female was in possession of an expandable baton, and break and enter tools. The other female also falsely identified herself to police.
A 30 year old Guelph female has been charged with:
- Break, Enter with Intent
- Public Mischief
- Acknowledging Instrument in False Name
- Personation
- Theft under $5,000 (Charge in relation to an unrelated previous incident)
- Obstruct Police (Charge in relation to an unrelated previous incident)
- Fail to Attend (Charge in relation to an unrelated previous incident)
A 29 year old Guelph female has been charged with:
- Break and Enter With Intent
- Possession of Break and Enter Instruments
- Breach Probation x2
- Breach Recognizance
Both females will appear in court on Aug. 2, 2019.
