An investigation continues into a truck fire that shut down Clair Road for much of Tuesday.
According to a Guelph police news release, a transport truck driver hauling thousands of pounds of cardboard pulled over at about 7:30 a.m. after noticing smoke coming from the trailer.
Guelph firefighters put out the fire, but the trailer and its contents sustained “extensive” damage.
The eastbound lanes of Clair Road were closed until about 4:30 p.m. as the wreckage was cleaned up and removed.
No injuries were reported.
