Police investigate after woman threatened with handgun

On Oct. 7, 2020 just before 2:48 a.m., an adult male and an adult female that had just met were on scene in a room of a hotel located near the intersection of Gordon Street and Stone Road West in the City of Guelph. An argument ensued over the female using her phone, and resulted in the male pulling out a silver handgun and waving it in her face. The male then punched her in the face four times and stole her purse and phone.

The male fled the hotel on foot, and the Guelph Police Service was called for assistance.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the male.

He is described as:
    •    Caucasian
    •    Brown hair, shaved on the side with a braid on the top
    •    Wearing dark pants, dark sweater, and black and red Jordan shoes

Please note that the female did not require medical treatment at the Guelph General Hospital.
