Guelph police are investigating after three teens were seen fleeing a deliberately-set fire at an east end park Sunday evening.

Just after 6:30 p.m. emergency services were called for a brush fire at Eastview Community Park. The fire was spreading quickly and was close to catching trees on fire before being extinguished by the Guelph Fire Department.

A witness reported he saw three males leaving the area of the fire and fleeing in a vehicle. The three were described as teenagers, average height, with two wearing all black and the third wearing a red and black jacket. They were observed leaving in a grey four-door sedan, believed to be a Honda or Toyota.
