Police looking to talk with driver of van that hit young cyclist Friday

Cyclist suffered minor injuries but bicycle was heavily damaged

Guelph police are looking to speak to the driver of a minivan which was involved in a collision with a young cyclist Friday evening.

Approximately 6 p.m. Friday, a beige or brown minivan was leaving a commercial plaza at the intersection of Speedvale Avenue East and Stevenson Street North when it collided with a 13-year-old male on a bicycle.

The minivan immediately left the area. The child sustained minor injuries but his bicycle was heavily damaged.

Police would like to speak to the van’s driver or anyone who witnessed the collision.
