A Guelph man faces charges after a female was assaulted downtown Thursday morning.
Approximately 10:25 a.m. an adult female was waiting outside a business on Wyndham Street North when she was approached by a man unknown to her. The man began yelling then pushed the female with both hands and swung a gym bag, striking her on the shoulder. The female declined medical attention.
The man left the area but was arrested a short time later.
A 25-year-old charged with assault and assault with a weapon.
