Police seek assistance following vehicle theft

WELLINGTON  - On July 26, 2017 at approximately 3:35 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a truck stolen from a residence on Jones Baseline, Township of Centre Wellington.

The owner heard people on his property and saw two, possibly three unknown males in the process of stealing two trucks. 

The homeowner interrupted their attempts and confronted them. The males jumped into one of the trucks and quickly fled the scene heading northbound on Jones Baseline.

The stolen vehicle is described as a white 2007 Dodge 2500 mega cab pickup truck. The vehicle has the decals "Geo-Solar Heat Specialists" and phone number "519-843-7899" on the sides of the truck box and tail gate. 

The truck box contained scrap metal and a water heater. The vehicle has pre-existing damage to the tail gate and front bumper. 

The OPP are asking anyone who may have information regarding this occurrence to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
