Police seek two suspects in robbery investigation

On May 30, 2019 at approximately 12 p.m., a woman was walking on Rickson Avenue and was approached by a black SUV, possibly a Dodge. The female passenger exited and advised the woman she wanted to give her a gift, which was a fake gold necklace. She placed the necklace on her neck but unclipped the woman’s real gold necklace, grabbed it and pushed her to the ground. The female returned to the SUV which was last seen on McCurdy Road heading towards Edinburgh Road South.

The victim suffered injuries as a result of this and was transported to Guelph General Hospital.

Suspect descriptions:

  • Driver described as – male, South Asian
  • Female passenger described as – female, South Asian, brown hair, approximately 50 years of age
