Purple fentanyl, crystal meth, cocaine seized during drug bust

Three face trafficking charges

On Sept. 30th, 2020 just after 1:30 a.m., based on observations made during an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, members of the Guelph Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit attempted to arrest two adult females and an adult male as their vehicle [was] parked near the intersection of Inverness Drive and Victoria Road North in the City of Guelph. The females were arrested without incident, however the male attempted to flee the area on foot.

A foot pursuit was initiated and police caught up with the male, however once caught, the male actively resisted arrest to the point that it took three officers to gain control of him. He was ultimately arrested.

A search of the male incident to arrest revealed:
    •    Purple fentanyl (20.24 grams)
    •    Cocaine (7.83 grams)
    •    $1,060 in Canadian currency

A search of the vehicle incident to arrest revealed:
    •    Cocaine (54.25 grams)
    •    Crystal methamphetamine (1.5 grams)

A 23-year-old Toronto male, 34-year-old Guelph female, and 39-year-old Guelph female have been charged with:
    •    Possession for the purpose of trafficking x2 (fentanyl and cocaine)
    •    Possession of crystal methamphetamine

The male has been additionally charged with:
    •    Resist arrest
    •    Breach undertaking
    •    Breach judicial order

The females will appear in court on Dec. 22.

The male was held in custody pending a bail hearing on Sept. 30.
