Refusing to leave a business led to criminal charges for a Guelph man Thursday morning.
Police report that officers were called just before 7 a.m. to remove a man from a business near Eramosa Road and Stevenson Street North. The man identified himself, and investigation revealed he was wanted for breaching a probation order.
The man was placed under arrest, and a search incident to arrest revealed some product from the business which had been hidden in his belongings.
A 39-year-old Guelph man is charged with theft under $5,000 and two counts of breaching a probation order. He was held for a bail hearing.
