Report of 'erratic driver' results in impaired charge for Guelph man

TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH - On Wednesday Feb. 13, 2018 at approximately 5:00 p.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an erratic driver all over the road on Brock Road near Old Brock Road.

Police located the driver of a silver sport utility vehicle and while speaking with the male driver officers formed the opinion that he was under the influence of alcohol. A roadside screening test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

Thirty-one-year-old Buhendwa Mushamuka of Guelph has been charged with impaired operation - 80 plus. A 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension (A.D.L.S.) and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on March 22, 2019.
