ADELAIDE-METCALF TOWNSHIP - Members of the Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to Center Road at 2:20 a.m. today to a report of a theft in progress.
OPP officers along with the OPP Canine Unit arrived on scene and located a male party who was arrested. During the arrest there was an interaction between the male and police.
OPP has charged a 29-year-old Sarnia Ontario man with Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000.
The provinces Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been notified as a result of the interaction and has invoked its mandate. Further inquiries should be directed to SIU Communications at (416) 622-2342.
