Earlier this month, staff from a business in the south end reported two employees had been working together to allegedly defraud their joint employer by failing to scan items in the checkout of scanning them and then voiding the transactions. During four transactions in May the pair removed $1,360 in unpaid merchandise from the store. They have both since been fired.

A 20-year-old Guelph female was charged earlier this week with four counts of theft under $5,000. On Tuesday afternoon, a 26-year-old Guelph female turned herself in to Guelph police and now faces the same charges. Both females will appear in a Guelph court Oct. 12.
