Guelph police are investigating after several north end apartments were broken into in recent days.

Since Monday, at least five apartment units in the area of Woodlawn Road East and Woolwich Street were entered. In each case, it is believed a suspect gained entry to an apartment building and then entered the residential units when the tenant temporarily stepped out, such as to visit a neighbour. The involved buildings are known to primarily house senior citizens.

In each case cash and/or medications were stolen. It is believed the incidents are related. In one incident a woman claimed she was looking for someone who lived in the building after she was seen leaving a unit. She was described as white, mid-20s, dark brown hair and wearing a black coat, black backpack and dark glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Guelph Police Service.
