Single-vehicle crash leads to impaired, theft over $5,000 for Brampton driver

On Feb. 1, 2021, at approximately 11:45 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle in a ditch on the Hanlon Expressway at Clair Road, city of Guelph.

OPP and officers with the Guelph Police Service responded to the scene. 

As a result of the investigation, Delano Ramon Kinghorn, 35 years old, of Brampton, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Impaired operation
  • Impaired operation - 80 Plus (mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood).
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Possession of property btained by crime over $5,000
  • Fail to comply with probation order

A 90-day Administrative Driver's License Suspension (A.D.L.S.) was initiated as per statute. The accused was held pending a bail hearing.
