Sledgehammer used to steal $60K in product at Stone Road Mall

Guelph police are investigating after more than $60,000 in product was stolen during a break and enter early Sunday.

Approximately 4:45 a.m. officers were dispatched to a break-in which had just occurred at Stone Road Mall. Security advised four men used a sledgehammer to break into the mall and then break into one of the businesses inside.

The males were inside less than one minute. More than $60,000 in product was reportedly stolen.

The males were described as black, wearing hoodies, sweatpants and gloves. One was carrying a sledgehammer and one was carrying plastic bins which were used to remove the products. They fled in a white SUV.
