Two stolen e-bikes and a large quantity of stolen tools were recovered Thursday from a downtown apartment.

Guelph police received information earlier this week about suspected stolen property being stored at an apartment unit in the area of Woolwich Street and Eramosa Road.

Search warrants were executed at the building Thursday. An e-bike reported stolen in 2021 was located in a parking garage, while a second e-bike reported stolen last month was found inside an apartment unit. A large number of tools, credit cards and identification were also located in the apartment. The stolen property has a total estimated value of $8,000.

A 33-year-old Guelph man is charged with possessing stolen property over $5,000 and possessing identity documents.
