Stolen vehicle involved in collision

On April 27, 2018 at approximately 8:30 a.m., Guelph police were called to the intersection of Gordon Street and Kortright Road South where there was a report of a single motor vehicle collision where the driver fled on foot.

Police were able to confirm that the vehicle was stolen. Moments later, police located and arrested the driver.

Taylor McKinstry, a 25-year-old Guelph man, was charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, two counts of breaching an Order of Recognizance and several Highway Traffic Act charges, including fail to remain and careless driving. He was held for a bail hearing, which occurred over the weekend.
