Store employee threatened with knife

Guelph police report a man faces assault and weapons charges after a store employee had a knife pulled on him Tuesday.

Shortly after 3 p.m. an employee of a business near Gordon Street and Harvard Road was informed of a man inside yelling obscenities at customers. When the employee went to ask the male to leave the business, he pulled a knife from his pocket and waved it at the employee in a threatening manner.

The man left the business but was located a short distance away and arrested. A 45-year-old Guelph man is charged with assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon.
