A Guelph nanny was pushing a stroller with two toddlers down Starwood Drive over the lunch-hour yesterday when a grey Toyota backed out of a driveway and hit the stroller.

The female driver then drove away without waiting for police to arrive. Fortunately the children were not hurt but were taken to the hospital by the parents as a precaution.

The nanny provided information about the vehicle and its driver to police who were able to locate the car and driver a short time later at her Guelph home. The 66-year-old woman was charged with failing to yield the right of way from a driveway.
