More than two dozen motorists were charged with speeding during a Sunday blitz intended to address speeding close to one of the city’s most crash-prone intersections, report Guelph police.

Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit officers conducted speed enforcement Sunday on Edinburgh Road South in the area of Wellington Street West. Twenty-five drivers were ticketed for going at least 75 km/h in a 60 km/h zone, with the fastest driver clocked at 86 km/h. One driver was also charged with failing to surrender a driver’s licence.
