On the morning of Aug. 11, 2019, police received information about a break and enter in progress at a closed business on the west end of the city. Multiple officers quickly attended the scene and located a male inside the business, who was subsequently arrested.
A search incident to arrest revealed he was in possession of a folding knife and break and enter tools. Further investigation revealed that the male also [allegedly] broke into two mechanical rooms and another business in the same plaza.
A 33-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
• break, enter with intent
• break, enter and commit theft x3
• breach probation x2
• possess break-in instruments
He will appear in court on Aug. 12, 2019.
