On Nov. 3, 2018 at approximately 12:20 a.m., Guelph Police were called to gas station on Imperial Road in regard to a gas drive off that involved a stolen truck from Manitoba on Oct. 19, 2018.

Police attended and located the vehicle in the area of Woodlawn Road and Edinburgh Road. The vehicle sped off and police did not pursue the vehicle for the safety of the public. Police located the vehicle unoccupied in the area of Burns Drive. K-9 was deployed and although a back pack with break and enter tools was located, the male was not.

At approximately 1:09 a.m., Police conducted a traffic stop and spoke with a lone female driver. Police recognized her as a wanted party for having her surety revoked. When Police attempted to arrest her, she pulled away and kicked at officers. Danielle Moss, a 28-year-old Guelph female, was further charged with resist arrest.

Moss appeared in court on Nov. 4, 2018.

At this point, officers searched the vehicle and located in the truck was the male (allegedly) responsible for the gas drive off in the stolen truck. Ryan Amaral, a 29-year-old Guelph male, was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, theft under $5,000, and breaching his Probation Order.

Amaral appeared in court on Nov. 4, 2018.
