A Hamilton male who drove to the Guelph police station while his licence was suspended for impaired driving was arrested again Saturday.

Shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday, a male arrived at the police station to collect a release form to get his motor vehicle out of impound. The vehicle had been automatically seized for seven days after the male was charged Oct. 29 with impaired driving. On that date the male’s driver’s licence had also been suspended for 90 days.

The male’s October arrest came one day after his licence had been reinstated following a July arrest in Hamilton for impaired driving.

A 19-year-old Hamilton male was further charged on Saturday with driving while suspended. The vehicle which had been impounded in October was released, however the vehicle he drove to the police station on the weekend was seized for seven days.

He will appear in a Guelph court Jan. 19.
