Theft, damage at north end business

Police say the culprit did $2,900 damage to the business

Guelph police are investigating a break and enter Thursday morning in which thousands of dollars in damage was caused to a north end business.

At approximately 5:20 a.m., a male attended a business on Woolwich Street near Woodlawn Road East and smashed the glass front door to gain entry. He ripped the security system off the wall and smashed it on the floor with his foot. The male fled the store with approximately $450 worth of product after causing $2,900 in damage to the business.

The incident was captured on surveillance video. Police are still looking for the involved male.
