Thieves steal $2,400 worth of booze from Guelph business

Reportedly stole key from a lock box five days earlier that was then used to enter the business

Guelph Police say thieves used a key stolen five days earlier was used to gain entry to a downtown business where $2,400 worth of liquor was stolen on Boxing Day.

They say that on Dec. 21 a lock box attached to a fence outside a business was taken. The lock box contained a key to the business.

On Saturday at 1:36 a.m. two men and a woman used the key to enter the business and take 60 bottles of liquor valued at $2,400.

The first male is described as:
- Caucasian
- Tall
- Thin build
- Wearing a black jacket and red pants with a white stripe

The second male is described as:
- Caucasian
- Mid to late 30s
- Medium build
- Wearing a black jacket with fur on the hood and dark pants

The female is described as:
- Caucasian
- Medium build
- Wearing a black jacket
