In the last 24 hours, the Guelph Police Service have dealt with 182 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Dangerous driving
On April 11, 2018, members of the Guelph Police Service High School Resource Officer Unit received a report of a vehicle driving erratically on a sports field attached to a high school. The vehicle was then reported to have gone on to an adjacent parking lot and driven in an erratic manner. This event occurred while there were several people on the field and in the parking lot.

Investigation lead to the identification of the driver. At 2:40 p.m., 16-year-old male youth from Guelph was arrested and charged with dangerous driving.

Break and enter
On April 11, 2018, the Guelph Police went to a Paisley Road residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered sometime during the day and stole jewelry. Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to contact Cst A. Anderson at 519-824-1212 at ext. 7282. Wanted male - arrested

On April 11, 2018 at approximately 8 p.m., Justin Wright, a 29-year-old Guelph male who was wanted for multiple offences was located by the Guelph Police Service and arrested without incident. He was charged with break and enter, utter threat, assault and two counts of breaching his recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing.
